Club & Meeting Info

The Virginia Historical Preservation Society meets at 7:30 PM on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Claude Moore Park Community Center in Sterling, Virginia.

Our meetings are not only educational, but also casual, fun, and friendly. Guests are always welcome to attend. Members and guests may bring any of their metal detecting recoveries they have found each month which they wish to display. Club members enjoy viewing and discussing the month's recoveries, Virginia and Civil War history, and most members can help identify any mysterious "whatzit?" recoveries.

At the end of the meeting the club usually holds an informal vote for the best recoveries in various categories including: relic, coin, jewelry, etc. For those who wish to become members, an annual due of $12 helps cover the club's administrative expenses.
